Boux Avenue

I cannot tell you the last time I bought bras. I know, I know, it’s embarrassing really. I got set on really liking one brand, but not any of their recent releases (go figure) so just hadn’t picked any up in a long time. Like, a long time. Eventually, I just got so frustrated by my bra being uncomfortable or its straps falling down all the time that I decided to blow caution to the wind and just go out and get new bras.

My pal Katie got a bra overhaul at Boux Avenue only a few months before, and out of everywhere I’d browsed online, it seemed to have the most that I liked. I mean, I do like strappy bras and those that make you feel that bit sexy, but some have some many straps that I feel I’d have to be a master yogi before attempting. Or I’d find a great bra to find the matching pants were totally assless. I’m looking at you Ann Summers.

On the weekend in question, there was actually a 20% off everything in store. And oh boy did I use that to my advantage. I spent a dangerous amount, credit card I’m sorry, but since then, I cannot tell you how much my mood has changed. Like I discussed in my Running On Empty post, self-care has begun to become more important to me again and buying new bras has really helped that. I found I’m a cup size bigger than I last was, though I don’t feel they’ve got bigger so make sure you get measured in every store, and my tatas feel more secure than ever.

The other thing is the confidence boost. Getting new underwear has made me feel ace. Whilst I do have some body hang-ups still, prancing around in the new bra set in front of Dan made me feel 100x better. Obviously your self worth isn’t based on other’s opinions, but you know when you feel good. I’d had the same underwear for years, and now I feel like I can conquer the world. #bragoals

Not a spon, or paid in anyway, but I thought it would be good to share some thoughts. But since I am now in on the whole underwear purchasing, tell me where you get yours from! I love new bras.
