Places to Eat: Meet and Treat

Meet and Treat probably goes down as one of my favourite places to get food in the North East. Self-described as a Taiwanese Gua Bao & Noodle House, Meet and Treat serves the most delicious selection of Asian inspired food, with options to cater for everybody.

Meet and Treat are slightly out of Newcastle city centre, situated at the far end of Chinatown, but don't let that put you off. Their food is one of my favourites, and as you can see from the photos, I'm slowly making my way through the entire menu. I'll take one for the team and give it my best shot.

It's easy to say basically the entire menu here, but I thought I'd talk about what Dan and I have picked during our frequent visits. Like I said, I'm making my way through the menu...

Small Bites: Dan and I both loved the Prawn Har Kaw which are amazing dim sum dumplings. I also adore the vegetable gyozas as they are the perfect level of crispy.

Main Courses: Okay so the Deep Fried Pork Katsu Noodles are one of my absolute favourites. They deserve their own blog post but I'd run out of words after morish, delightful and hey-why-is-my-bowl-empty? Dan adored the Braised Pork with Rice, which I've also had in a Bao and would wholly recommend.

Dessert: All. Of. It. All of the waffles.

Have you ever been to Meet and Treat? Would you like to go?

*I was compensated with one free meal to review Meet and Treat, but have been several times myself and adore it*
